President's Welcome

Greetings! It gives me great joy to welcome you to the official website of the Delta Pi Chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After being inactive for 28 years our re-founded chapter is taking campus by storm. In the past year alone we have over doubled our chapter size and have secured a fantastic fraternity house for our Brotherhood. What started in a dorm as an idea among a few freshmen friends is now becoming an established Fraternity.

We could not be experiencing this level of success without the support of our jolly Alumni, parents, Deke International, and friends. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.

There is nothing more rewarding than leaving your mark on campus by leaving a legacy. By re-founding Deke at Illinois we have helped carry on the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of generations of Delta Pi Brothers that have come before us. While this experience has proved challenging it has proved all the more satisfying. There has truly never been a better time to be a Deke.

If you are an incoming freshman who wants to have a rewarding and fun college experience, I encourage you to leave a legacy and make a name for yourself by joining the elite and rushing Deke!

We Are Delta Kappa Epsilon

"It is no coincidence that five presidents of the United States have been Dekes — more than any other fraternity — that our flag was flown on the first expedition to the North Pole and again on a manned landing to the moon. The individual qualities that DKE seeks have certainly withstood the test of time and served us all in good stead. It is that unique blend of leadership, brotherhood and tradition that fuels this fraternity."

-President Gerald R. Ford | Omicron Chapter, Michigan '35

Famous Dekes

Five U.S. Presidents, a President of Cuba, astronauts, Medal of Honor recipients, trailblazers, CEOs, scientists, professors, famed musicians, hall of fame athletes, Nobel Prize winners, and more. These are just a few of the men that call themselves Dekes. Our storied Brotherhood has played a significant role in molding countless leaders over the past 170+ years and will continue to prepare the leaders of tomorrow for generations to come. One thing is for sure: in Deke we build a house of fame.
